WINNING PICTURE-HOT SHOTS on 10/06/2005 "George has got a smashing portrait here, with the side light casting a strong shadow across the cheek from the bead earring. There is great texture in the curly grey hair and chestnut skin, wonderful folds in the forehead and a nice catchlight in the eye. It is a strong profile and the background is well out of focus. I like the way George has divided the frame in half by the line of the profile"
